Art for Curse the Darkness

I was absolutely thrilled to be working with Matthew McFarland again. I did some artwork for a companion book for his game Curse the Darkness. Only a couple pieces, but I had fun with them! Especially the one with the water.

Some Art For Adventures Dark and Deep Game Masters Toolkit

It’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve posted, but I’ve been pretty busy! Mostly been working on sketching out images for several projects. And now finally finishing them! I burnt my hand pretty badly this past week as well, so that set me a few days behind, since I couldn’t move my fingers very much. But it is healed now, so no worries!

Here’s some artwork that I did for BRW Games ( http://www.brwgames.com/ ), for their Adventures Dark and Deep Game Masters Toolkit. Mostly fairly simple images, but I had fun!

Next up this week, I will be posting some work I’ve done for Atlas Games. Then this weekend I’m going on vacation to celebrate my first year wedding anniversary. Man, I can’t believe it’s already been a year! When I return on Monday, you’ll be seeing more ADX stuff! Then… ZOMBIES! 🙂

Art of ADX – Part 1

I’m happy to be working with Machine Age Productions yet again! This year’s book is called Apotheosis Drive X. It’s a fate-powered mecha RPG. Who doesn’t love giant robots!? I’ve only started on a few images so far, but I thought I would show the two finished ones. There will be many more to come, I’m sure.

Its been a long time coming… (Commission)

I’ve been working on this image for well over a year. Normally I’m not proud of taking so long to finish something, but… its really satisfying to work so long and so hard on something, and see it finished. And I’m actually proud of it! I think this is the longest I’ve worked on any artwork, ever. Whew!

I did this for one of my best friends, Trudi Topham. I really cannot ask for a better friend. She has been incredibly supportive and patient, not only with this picture, but as a friend. In return I made sure it was well worth the wait! And it seems so, cause she was over the moon when she saw it.

The main two figures are two of our RPG characters (World of Darkness psychics), that we’ve been playing for many years. The blond dude is mine, the scared to hell dude is her’s. The other people are mainly the main antagonists that they have encountered and overcome, and the two scenes depict two of the most notable times in their relationship. References were used for the four smaller figures. (You might recognize the actors/models we use for their pictures. 😉 )

Anyway, hope you enjoy it as much as we do! Please check out Trudi’s websites while you’re at it. She is a BRILLIANT writer!

The Art of Redemption by Silent Spirit Games

This is a really intimidating project for me. I haven’t ventured very much into sci fi, until now. But while it’s been very challenging, I have to say… I’ve had a ton of fun. And I’m pretty proud of the results.

This is for a game by Silent Spirit Games, called Redemption. A pretty epic Sci Fi war game! I’ve posted some sketches and concept imagery already. You can see it by scrolling down a bit. I’m still not anywhere near finished with this project, but here’s some of my favorites so far.

Commission: The Fool

This is a commission ordered by Steve Perry. (I think that’s his name!) This is of his character named Caldwell, who is a mage from the RPG game Mage: The Awakening. He’s a mastigos, and Guardian of the Veil. Which happens to be my favorite combination. (Mmmm, mastigos…)

He wanted his character depicted as the Fool, and made into a tarot card, with some personal symbolism thrown in. I really like how it turned out! I’m working on another one as well for his wife. But using the High Priestess card. Keep an eye out for it.

The Art of Beast Within 4: Gears and Growls

This next round of art was done for an anthology called Beast Within 4: Gears and Growls, edited by Jennifer Brozek. It’s a wonderful collection of short stories focusing on shapeshifters. And steampunk! How can you go wrong with steampunk werewolves, and other freakish critters? Really! I actually read every single one, and I really loved pretty much all of them.

A few pieces of art

Here’s some art I just recently finished! It’s for a horror game with… zombies! I think. They were commissioned by Rick Maffei. I’ll be doing more work for this game soon, so you’ll likely see a few more characters for this!

Right now I’m working on a HUGE project for an old college friend of mine. I’m nearly done, but still some more work to go! So you’ll likely be seeing that art here in a few days.
